OH HEY!

I'm Rachel and the creator of The Well Place. I love all things hope and Jesus. I'm Momma to three ginger babies, one of which (Samuel) is a medical miracle, and I'm married to my viking. I write on all things faith, marriage, family, parenting, fitness, and a sprinkle of home. My hope is to reach new moms and glean wisdom from ol' pros. I hope to encourage and inspire women to embrace the gift that they are, and families to dive deeper. My heart is to lean in, speak life, and let the light shine!

WORSHIP IS HER SWORD

WORSHIP IS HER SWORD

My mom is a worshiper. I remember physically feeling the music from the carport as I would walk up to the house after school. It would be blaring and I would come to the sliding glass door and slide it open to the spirit of God all around that living room. I remember opening the door, and the wall adjacent to the door was a full mirror, and all I could see was her stillness. Her powerhouse worshiping heart invited the spirit of God into our home and in turn, our hearts.

Worship is her sword, it is her calling, her gift to our hearts and her expression of love to the Father. When times were desperate and on every mountaintop, worship is where she met the Savior. Worship is a powerful expression of love for the King of Kings, drawing close and closer still to the heart of Jesus. Worship is not about singing the right songs, hitting the notes, having the fog machines, or the neon lights. It’s about truth. It’s about laying down self and sitting at the feet of Jesus. It’s where I want to be ALL THE TIME, but sometimes have a slower time getting there.

I have worship music playing throughout my whole day; it plays in the car and in our home. But something I am committed to adding to my life is a “soaking” time (if you will). I'm committed to make time in my week when the kids go to bed, to turn the lights off, lay down, and blare the music. Will you commit too?

Commit to soaking in His presence. Let the words wash over you, let your heart be drawn to the heart of Jesus and feel the freedom that meets you when the Spirit of the Lord shows up.

Life is hard, life gets in the way, and the trials and shame and condemnation pull us farther from the feet of Jesus. So, this ongoing playlist is to draw us back to HIS heart. This list is to bring you closer to the maker, to the promise-keeper; back to the glorious light.

Below are the first 10 songs on THE WELL PLACE WORSHIP PLAYLIST, and additional songs will periodically be added to the album page.
